Happy New Year

Happy News Years Everyone!!!!

Three months to April and Golf begins.

For members of the 65 Club, dues were due by Dec. 31. If you have not paid, please do so as soon as you can. Please be considerate, late payment causes a lot of extra work for the volunteers who are your officers and board. They do not know if you are remaining a member, they need to send out additional E-mails and put notices in the Club Bulletin, they will even send you a letter which requires a stamp, come the end of March the Club Directory need to go to the printer, and if you have not paid they follow up to see if you just forgot to pay, so your name will go into the directory. Again please be considerate.
The dues are still only $20.00.  Please give David Tarditi the cash at a meeting or send him a check made out to the Haddonfield 65 Club, (please note Dues in the Memo of the check),at: David Tardily, 64 Linden Ave., Haddonfield, NJ 08033.

For those golf players who are not Club Members and who gave a donation for the 2018 season, we thank you. If you forgot and still wish to make a donation for 2018, it not too late to do so. For anyone who wants to get a jump on this year’s donation for 2019, you may send a check to David at the same address above. Please note on check “Golf Donation.” We are not a 501 organization and any donation is not tax deductible.

Have a great year,

Mike Underwood

Westwood Golf Scores - Last Outing of the Season

Today was the last outing for the 65 Club Golfers. It started off cold in the mid thirties, and got to a very warm 45 degrees, (the sun was shining), at 1:00 PM as we were finishing our rounds.
Congratulations to Butch Brees who had a low Gross of 84 and to Fred Borgini with a Low Net of 72.
I would like to thank Fran DuVernois and John Mapes for setting up the courses at the beginning of the year, Tom Rayser for keeping the handicaps for the season, and the five callers, Fran DuVernois, Jack Sentman, Dick Gimigliano,Courtney Malcarney and Hank Zaleski for coordinating who was and who was not playing each week.
I would like to thank everyone who participated in our outings and for the full cooperation that everyone gave by being on time, calling when you needed to cancel and for the great friendship shown to each other.
Hope to see everyone next April 3, 2019, where ever we are scheduled to play.
Have a Safe and Healthy Happy Thanksgiving,

Mike Underwood

Ramblewood Golf Scores - Also Invite to HSH General Meeting, interesting presentation on RCA designer John Vasso

Congratulations to Butch Brees, who must have taken a golf lesson, for he lowered his score and was Low Gross of 80, well done! Congratulations to Mike Hall and Chris Underwood for Low Net of 72.
The weather on the course was warm most of the morning. It was cart path only as the course was very wet, causing the ball to plug into the turf. The fairways were clear of leaves but there were areas in the rough that the leaves made it quite difficult for anyone who hit their ball there, to find a it.
Next week is the last outing for the year. Temperatures are projected to be in the high 30s, low 40s. Let’s see what happens.
Please remember in your prayers all our fellow golfer and or their love ones who are suffering with some type of illness, which prevented them from participating for some or all of the outings this year.

Have a good week.

Week 32
Westwood Tee Time 9:00 AM

The Historical Society of Haddonfield’s next general membership meeting will feature a presentation by author Danielle Shapiro on influential RCA designer John Vassos.
For this meeting only, we’ll be gathering on a Sunday afternoon — November 11 at 2 pm — at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 204 Wayne Avenue, Haddonfield.
Shapiro will be discussing industrial designer John Vassos, who designed more than 100 products during his career, including the cabinets for the first commercial television sets, iconic phonographs and radios, and the famous “Musicorner” for the America at Home Pavilion or “Living Room of the Future” at the 1939 World’s Fair. Her book, John Vassos: Industrial Design for Modern Life, was published in 2016.
Members are free, with a suggested donation of $5 for nonmembers. The church also asks that attendees consider bringing a canned food item for its food pantry.
