Westwood Scores

It was wet condition on the golf course at Westwood. It drizzled for the first four holes, and believe it or not we were not restricted to cart path only.

Several of us thought it should have been cart path only as some of the fairways were damaged from carts going though water puddles etc. 

We were also fixing ball marks on the green from balls plugging into the soft turf.

With the ground being so soft and wet there was little or no roll on the ball, either in the fairways or on the greens.

Congratulations to Butch Brees scoring a Low Gross of 83, and to me, Mike Underwood for a Low Net of 70.

Ramblewood Scores - Please read Notes about next week's Best Ball Scramble at Westwood

We got kind of messed up at Ramblewood with our starting times. That is because they changed the personnel in the pro-shop, again. 

When I called on Monday and stated I needed 7 Tee times, they never said it would be a shot-gun start, which they never gave us before. 

While we all got to play, it was not an easy day getting started and being cart path only. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Congratulation to Butch Brees for Low Gross with a score of 86, and to Courtney Malcarney, John Mapes and Bill Rommelman who tied with a Low Net of 76.

Next week we are playing Westwood GC and it will be a Best Ball Scramble with a shot-gun start. Four some will be arrange according to Handicaps.

Since this takes more time for the line-up then normal, I ask that you let your callers know early Sunday if you are playing or not and Callers let me know who is playing early Sunday Evening, like 6:00 PM.

The only qualification to play is you must have played at least five times during the regular season.

Golden Pheasant Scores

We started off with fog and humidity with cart path only. Played, (walked), through wet fairway, slow greens and ended up with humidity with no rain. As always, it was a great day on the course.

Congratulations to Butch Brees for shooting a Low Gross of 80 and to Roger Wuestefeld for shooting a low Net of 67. 

We will play the 65 Club Golf Master’s Tournament on October 10 at Pennsauken. Everyone is eligible to play in this tournament. 

Basic Tournament Rules: No Breakfast Balls, No Mulligans, No Give me, Play the ball were it lie, any repositioning of the ball one stroke penalty.

Next week’s golf outing is at Ramblewood with a 8:00 AM Start. Ramblewood does not give us a shotgun start.
