Pinelands Scores

Sorry to have missed Pinelands, as I am told the weather was great, cool and an overcast. When I call on Tuesday, Earnie from Pinelands, wanted to know if we might want to cancel due to the prediction of Rain.

I said no, which turned out to be a good decision. Also if it did rain I wasn’t playing anyway, so the decision was easy.

Congratulation to Butch Brees for a Low Gross of 81 and to John Mapes for a Low Net of 69.

Even though it is a holiday weekend please let your contact know on Sunday your play status as I still need to call “the Links” at Kings Grant on Monday.

WHITE OAKS WED. AUG.,14 Rain Out

I can't remember the last time the 65 Club had a total rain out.Maybe Mike knows.

Last year we received rain checks from Pineland,but most if not all finished 18 holes.Yesterday no one finished 9 holes.We received rain checks valid to 9/13 date,however Kevin Morita, Dir. of Golf, White Oaks said they will honor on our next visit.If you didn't get rain check,take your line up sheet. Kevin is copied on it.

 But had 7 pars and a birdie.  Fact: Only played 6 holes and has never had a birdie.

Last time you made schedule you moved to another course, now a rain out.

I will be away next week for scheduling at White Oaks. Fran DuVernois will be doing the line-up and calling White Oaks with the number of players.
