Guidelines for the Haddonfield 65 Club Golf Outings.

 HADDONFIELD 65 CLUB GOLF

Below are the guidelines for the Haddonfield 65 Club Golf Outings.

The play of golf for the 65 club is the camaraderie and friendship of play. You can play as serious as you want or take advantage of some of our relaxed rules. We have players who have a low handicap and others, well they just enjoy be out. The cost for everyone over 65 is what the course charges for seniors, all other pay the going rate. There is no wagering or betting in our outings.

Every player is assigned a contact person to whom they will contact by 5:00 P.M. to inform them if they will be playing on not on the up-coming Wednesday of play.

On Sunday night, before 9:00 PM callers will e-mail  to me the names of those players who will be playing on Wednesday.

There are 8 tee times, 32 players, scheduled for the season at each of the nine course we play.

Monday morning I notify the course of the number of tee times required, as we do not always have 32 players signed up. This allows the course to sell the remaining tee times by Wednesday.

On Monday night or early Tuesday I send out the assigned line-up to all and to the Course where we are playing. If we have more than 32 players, I will address that at that time. If you forget to sign-up and want to play or you need to cancel, contact me as soon as you can and I will address that also at that time.

On Wednesday all player are to be at the course as close to an half hour before your tee time.

Tee times are the time you are teeing off, not the time you are expected to arrive.

Note: 1 - Some courses gives us a modified shotgun start, i.e., hole 1, hole 18, 17, etc. Everyone will go to their assigned holes at the same time.

Note – 2 – Over the past couple of seasons the starter at most of the courses have had us tee off ten to fifteen minutes early, another reason to have signed in and be ready earlier then your original tee time. If you are late, your group will not be waiting for you. You may join them if the ranger is willing to give you a cart or take you to the hole on which they are playing.

We have one morning ball on the first hole you start, without penalty. You can chose which ball you wish to play.

We have on mulligan per 18 holes. The mulligan, once hit must be played or one stroke penalty to play the original drive. Balls laying on stones, roots, or cart paths, may be move so that you do not hurt yourself  or damage your club. If possible the move should not give you an advantage to the hole.  No penalty stroke.

Pace of Play – Keep up with the group in front of you. If necessary Pick up on the fairway and drop ball close or on the green, Maximum strokes count for par 3 and 4 is double par. Maximum strokes count for par 5 is 9. Once you hit double par on par 3 & 4 and 9 on par 5, you are to pick up, suck it up and move on. This rule does not allow to keep hitting and only scoring the maximum on your score card. We normally play the greens with the  flag in, should a player request to have the flag removed, it can be removed and tended to by another player. A “Give-me” should not be any greater from the hole than 12 inches. The person who just putted can ask the group, or anyone in the group can call a “Give-me,” if there is no doubt the putt can be made on the next stroke. “Remember Pace of Play”

If you have any Questions please e-mail or text me and I will get an answer for you.
