Pennsauken Scores

Overall it was another great day playing golf. With minimal rain drops and maybe the rough a little too high, the tee boxes, the fairways and the greens were all in great shape.
We started Sunday night with 26 people signed up to play. That count changed with doctors’ appointments, personal commitments, surgery recovery, etc., we ended up with 16 Players.
I would like to thank everyone for calling well in advance with their cancellations. This allowed me to let the pro shop have an actual count for today and they were able to fill the four open Tee Times.

Congratulation to Butch Brees for a Low Gross score of 85 and to Mike Underwood for a Low Net score of 69.

Next week we are playing Centerton Golf Course with a Tee Time of 9:00 AM.

Have a good and safe Memorial Day, Remembering all those who gave their lives for our Country, The United States of America.
This Weekend is a Time of Remembrance of the Fallen, You do not have to go shopping for sales!

White Oaks Fun Scramble - Results

Since it was a fun scramble, for some of us, and some groups found it to be harder then others due to a slower pace from the golf group that went out before the 65 Club, I am only posting first and second places.
Second place was group 4 with a minus 1 and First Place was group 3 with a minus 2.  When we play in September I will have a better handicap record for everyone.
The next time we play White Oaks the last two groups will start on 18. I talked to Mitch, course pro, and told him that five groups teed off and no one who started early was starting on 18. He stated that the next time we are there it will be OK for us to start on 18.

Next week is Pennsauken with a 8:00 AM Tee Time without a shotgun start.

Have a good week,

Mike Underwood

Golden Pheasant Scores

It was a great day at Golden Pheasant GC, with everyone finishing in approx. four and a half hours. We had a great Buffet afterwards for those who were able to stay for lunch.
Congratulation to Hank Zaleski for a Low Gross score of 80 and to Dennis Kille and Bill Rommelman for a Low Net score of 66.
Handicaps are based on the last three rounds played. If you did not played three rounds by May 3 of this year, I used your last years handicap.
Next week will be at White Oaks GC with a 9:00 AM Tee Time. It will be a fun scramble, (best ball) outing.

The important info is actually from my wife, Pat,  to your wife or lady friend and/or adult daughters and their female friends. The Haddon Fortnightly Women’s Club of Haddonfield, of which my wife is president, will be hosting a “DESIGNER BAGS AND DOLLARS BINGO” on Friday, June 2, 2017. It will be held at the Haddon Fortnightly building  located at Kings Highway and Grove Street, Haddonfield. Admission is $25 in advance or $30 after May 25. Light refreshment will be served. Water and soda will be available for purchase.
Please contact Alice at (856) 547-7711 to reserve your seat. This is a major fund raiser for the Fortnightly and your support is appreciated. Thank you for passing this information along to everyone and taking the time to read it.

Have a great week,

Mike Underwood

Westwood Scores

In my haste to deliver the scores yesterday, I miss congratulating Ed Rouh for a low gross score of 87 along with Butch Brees. Well-done on a tough day on the course. Sorry about that and thanks to Butch Brees for bring this to my attention.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Thank you to everyone for being on time. The first group was able to Tee off at 7:40, and we where able to put two groups on hole 18. Everyone finished in a reasonable amount of time.
Congratulations to Butch Brees for low gross of 87 and to Harry Aharon for a low net of 70.
As you can see from the higher then normal scores, the wind and the greens played a major part in making the day a little more difficult to get to the greens and putting.
I would like to welcome Harry Aharon and Ray Lehman to our 65 Club golfing group. They have been playing with us the past couple of weeks and we have enjoyed their company.

Have a great week and hopefully everyone will be able to play next week,
