Golden Pheasant Scores

I think most of us had a good outing with the weather not too hot. The ruff at Golden Pheasant was higher then normal, making it hard to find your ball and if you did find it, it was a challenge to hit it out of the ruff, let alone getting any distance.

Next Wednesday we are playing at Westwood. If you are planning to play next week please e-mail me direct and let me know by Friday noon, tomorrow. If you are not sure but think you might play, it is better to call and say you are playing. Cancellations are easier to do than trying to add a person when the schedule is full and the course has already been notified of the number of players.

Week 12 Rancocas

The same as last week, on Friday by noon I will need to know if you are planning to play Golden Pheasant. E-mail me directly ONLY if you are playing. I do not need to know or need another e-mail if you are not playing.

If you are not sure but think you will, it is better to say you are playing, as I may not be able to fit you in on the schedule after I have called the course. 

Thank you everyone who played today for showing up on time. I know I said to be at the course 15 minutes before your Tee Time today, somehow the course was running 10 minutes ahead of schedule. For those who had to rush to the first tee without warming up, I apologize. I hope every one enjoyed themselves today. It is great to be outdoors again. The weather was pretty good and low humidity. As mentioned earlier we are not doing Handicaps or pars, birdies, and eagles until week four at Pinelands. Below are the scores for today. Note: I think Butch kept his score card from last year, another 83. Butch, nicely played.

WE ARE BACK - JUNE 24th - PLEASE READ ALL- RESPOND ACCORDINGLY -

We are scheduled for Rancocas next week, June 24. The pros at the courses we talked with would like a player’s count on Friday prior to the Wednesday we are scheduled to play. That means I will need to know who is playing by noon on Friday.  

Due to the uncertainty of the virus, I know we will not have the numbers to play that we normally do.

I am presently working on the call list. We have some new members and members who at the present time are not able to play this year because of medical reasons. If you are in the same situation and have not contacted me that you may not be able to play this year please do so. I have told those players who will not be on the list to call me directly if they should want to play for any particular week, they will still be on my E-mail distribution list. 

The cost for Rancocas and Golden Pheasant is $42.00.

There is no shotgun start, Tee Times only, be there on time to pay, sign-in and be ready to play. 

There are not enough carts for everyone to have one person per cart. I will try to clarify how this will work. 

For a three-sum there will be two carts. Two people can ride together and one in the other cart. Or one person per cart and one walks. 

For a four-sum there will be three carts. Two people can ride together and one each in the other two carts. Or one person per cart and one walks.

If you have a friend you wish to play and ride with, contact that friend and confirm that he is willing to ride with you. When you confirm with whom you are playing, let me know at that time who you will be playing with. 

Otherwise I will do the normal scheduling and you will need to decide who is riding together or walking.

I will not be collecting or handling score cards. Select one person in the group to e-mail me the scores when they return home, do not presume that some will do it. We will not be counting Pars, Birdies or Eagles for posting.

We also will not be doing 65 Club handicaps until everyone is back and feel it is safe to play. 

For this week I am asking everyone who is playing at Rancocas to contact me prior to noon on Friday. I do not need to know if you are not playing Rancocas. This week you do not need to contact your caller. 

The predicted weather for Wednesday is a high of 87 degrees, humid with possible showers. I do not know what water or snacks will be at the course, so I suggest you bring plenty of water and any snacks you wish to eat. 

Most of us have not been out playing, so relax, no pressure, have fun and be safe,
