Scores for White Oaks' Best Ball Scramble.

Congratulations to Team 5, Bob Blantz, Larry Weigand, Glen Winistorfer, and Ross Levitsky for scorning one under par to win today’s Best Ball Scramble.

 

Just an FYI: I put the four some together randomly without trying to equal each team with the same average handicaps as I will do in the Fall Best Ball Scramble. 

When I finished putting the groups together, I then put the handicaps in and then averaged them out for each team. 

As a result Team 3 had the best team average at 21, but still had a plus 4. On the other hand Team 5 had next to the highest team average with a 26.5 and they came in first with a minus 1.

Just goes to show that on any given day anyone or any team can have a good day.

 

I hope everyone like the 2 drives per person, one on the front nine and one on the back nine. The idea for two drives per person add to the team strategy and is a variable in the Best Ball Scramble.

By only doing two, not three, removes some stress for those who do not have long drives.
