White Oaks Scores

Scores for most of us were higher than normal I believe due to the heat and humidity. With  thunder and lightning coming up during play, seven of us left after playing 14 or 15 holes. Three were smart enough to schedule to play only nine holes.

So we have the brave who struck it out for 18 holes, we have the smart ones who scheduled to play 9 holes, and then there is the rest of us.

Congratulations to Bob Blantz with a low gross of 94 and to Tom Vincent with a low net of 73.

Next week we play at Golden Pheasant with a 8:00 AM Tee Time. We normally have a Modified shotgun start.

After many years of scheduling the courses we play and being a contact caller, Fran DuVernois is retiring from both jobs. Fran contacts five courses and John Mapes contacts 3 courses. At the end of this year we are looking for one or two volunteers to do the course  scheduling and / or being a contact caller. John is willing to assist the volunteer in doing the course scheduling. Please let me know if you are interested in helping out.

Week 21

Golden Pheasant

To all who saw my score on Wednesday and thought I did really well, only I wish. I Transposed my score with Chris’s 43 and I had a 54, Chris had 5 pars, I had one. That happened on the first hole and it was down hill from there. The Lighting and Thunder was really a God send which kept me from the miserly of playing four more holes.

Hope to see everyone at Golden Pheasant. Have a great weekend.
