The
weather was great for being out on the golf course. To our surprise, after we
had paid, we were told it was cart path only, which did not make some people
very happy.
Congratulations
to Chris Underwood who finally beat Butch Brees, and for having both Low Gross
of 82, and Low Net of 69. (FYI, *** Butch did not play, but if he had he would
of scored an 83).
I
was told I had to be humble when I tell every one of our experience on Hole
number 5 which was a par 4. I had a great drive, and from a hundred yards out,
I hit the ball onto the green and it rolled into the hole for an eagle. On the
same hole, Chris hit his ball from 60 yards out and it rolled into the hole for
a par. To follow that, Ed Karcher hits his ball from 5 yards off the green and
that rolls in for a bogie. John Mapes just stood there in amazement to see
three balls roll into the hole without a putt. That was just fun.
Next
week will be our 65 Club Golf, Best Ball Scramble Tournament at Pinelands with
a 8:00 AM Start. Pinelands normally gives us a shotgun start, but we will have
to see what the weather is due to frost, etc. I will need to have everyone
signed up on Sunday, since I will be putting together the four some by
handicaps. Callers, Please have those who are playing Pinelands to me early Sunday
Evening, Thank you.
