I am
back from the shore, from which the weather held out to be good except for
Wednesday. It rained off and on all day, not a good beach day. Yet when on goes
to the beach, one goes into the water to get wet, so why don’t people go to the
beach when it rains, you are going to get wet anyway?
A
special thanks to Fred Chorpita for collecting the card at the end of the
outing, calculating low gross and low net, which he sent out immediately at the
end of the day, and for putting together the following update.
“We
had 28 players sign up to play. Due to the forecast of rain we only had 20 show
up. It was cart path only and it was enforce by the rangers. The course was wet
and there was very little roll. No birdies by any one in the group. Harry
Aharon had the best round with 8 pars and a 88 gross score. There was an
occasional drizzle but overall not a bad day for golf. There were 49 pars of
which 10 were on the 60 yard, par 3, 11th hole. Low net for the day was Ed
Karcher with a 70.”
Wednesday
will be at Pennsauken and they do not give us a shotgun start.
