Congratulations
to Ed Rouh for scoring a Low Gross of 84 and to Harry Aharon for scoring a Low
Net of 70. The weather was perfect for being outdoors and having a good ride
ruined by chasing that little white ball. But unlike a rabbit, seldom did the
ball go into the hole as often as we would like. I want to thank Jack Aharon
for picking up the score cards and dropping them off at my house.
The
Haddonfield 65 Club Golf group had a four some supporting the Haddonfield Fire
Company #1 by participating in their first Golf Tournament at Pennsauken GC. We
did not do well but we had a great time and a good breakfast and lunch. We were
a little stressed as everyone had to play from the White Tees, (actually not
everyone), as they were placed to the very rear of the tee box. The seniors did
not get a fair brake, unlike the ladies, no matter what age they were, they
were able to tee of from the RED TEES. I am not a vindictive person, but one
rule change we have for the 65 Club Golf is that any player under an eight
handicap must play from the blue tees for the rest of the season and all of
next year. Actually Butch did a great job in putting together this First HFC
outing, so all is forgiven, he can play from the white tees. We wish success
for all future Haddonfield Fire Company’s golf outings.
