First outing for the season -Golden Pheasant

It was a great day to be outdoors, playing golf. We had 28 players sign-up with one cancellation. This is the best turnout for the first day of the season. The past five years that I have been doing the schedule the average turnout has be 20 players. It must be noted that this is the best weather we have had on opening day.

Congratulations to Butch Brees, Jim Dunn and Hank Zaleski for a low Gross of 88, and to Jim Dunn for a low Net of 72. I used the handicap from the Nov. 9, 2016 Handicap List. For those who do not have a handicap you must play three time with our group and Tom Rayser will calculate your handicap. 

Last year I ask non-65 club member to make a donation to the club since you don’t pay dues and are able to participate in the golf outings and are eligible for trophies, etc. Last year was the first year we did this and the response was great and we thank you. Again this year, I am asking for a donation to the club. Our club dues are twenty dollars, while many donations exceeded this amount last year, I am asking that you keep your donations within this amount, but if you want to give more I will not stop you.  We enjoy having everyone play, so do not feel you have to contribute if you do not wish to. Checks are to be make out to “Haddonfield 65 Club” and mailed to “65 Club” c/o Walt Baker, 400 N. Haddon Ave., Unit 209, Haddonfield NJ 08033, or you may give it to me at any of our outings.
