With
much regrets and the safety of everyone in the golf group we will be cancelling
all five of April’s golf outings. This is to go along with the 65 Club Closure
which is addressed below. We will address all of May’s outings starting May 6th
in the middle of April to see what the status of the virus is at that time.
As
of now all golf courses are open but restricted to golf only, most have
implement guidelines on registration, health safety, no walk-on, scheduled tee
times only, etc. If you still wish to play you will need to make you own Tee
Time. I will not be playing the month of April unless the virus somehow goes
away. My concern is not only the sanitation of signing in, cleaning of golf
carts or handling of clubs, it is also the course itself. Knowing that golfer
sometimes spit or that smokers leave their butts on the ground, and there is a
good chance that my ball may roll across or through it makes me worry the most.
I am
passing this on to let everyone know some of the steps the golf courses are
taking to try and stay open and keep everyone safe. I really like information #
1 - No carts, must walk!

Take
care, stay safe and if possible stay healthy,,
For
those who did not get into golf shape, practice your putting, or swing a club, you
now have another month to do so. Try to stay healthy. Hopefully I will see you
all in May.
